Airush ChopTop 2011

The Airush Choptop 2011 is for the rider, accessible strapless performance (or strapped of course).

5'3" - Wide tail and flat rocker entry for incredible light wind performance, with great high wind control due to the “over the board” rider geometry. The 5’3” features a concave deck for low center of drive improved strapless performance.

5'8" - For medium to light-wind and heavier rider, the 5’8” offers enough buoyancy for paddle surfing up to an advanced 85 kg rider in small surf (up to shoulder high). The snub nose outline keeps the volume forward allowing for maximum planning

5.8 LW - Airush introduces the Widebody concept to surf with the Choptop LW. This unique design pushes the envelope of extreme light wind wave performance by allowing you to ride aggressively in the most marginal conditions.

Rails:
Tucked surf rail based on a small to medium wave surf requirements

Rocker:
Directional rocker with a flat entry, for early planning and stability at speed. Intermediate tail rocker for snap inwave conditions.

Bottom Shape:
Single concave to Spiral double concave bottom for early planing and soft ride in chop.

Outline:
Wave inspired outline with relatively far forward wid point for improved stability at speed. Due to the "over the board" gemoetry we have been able to increase the speed and stability without losing throw around factor.

Fins:
Lightweight and durable Hexcore AR5 fins are combined with the revolutionary new Surfinz box, this new box system allows up to 18mm of adjustability along with heavy duty under the skin installation. The Patented conic stainless steel screw ensures long durability full FCS compatiblity from box and fins. Standard configuration as Tri fin, with Quad fin compatibility.

FlyTech II:
The Flytech construction is most suitable for high volume kiteboards due to its low core density. The lightweight core is used in conjunction with directionally optimized glass for optimum flex and durability in conjunction with a high density foam sandwich. This ensures the boards remain as light as possible and still survive aggressive riding.

Compared to the Converse:

Shorter length, wide tail, flatter rocker entry and slightly harder rail edge improve flat water and on shore performance
Shorter length and grab rails increasers throw around factor
Concave deck on 5'3" for improved strapless riding flexibility in foot positioning

Compared to the Skim:

Higher volumeand overall length for more classic 'surf' feel
Larger fins allow you to drive the board off the tail
